About The Position

Milacron is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our Retrofit & Rebuild team in the Midwestern US. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing quality installations, maintenance, and plastic injection/extrusion equipment repairs. Breakdowns will require troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components and circuits. If you have installed, repaired, troubleshot robotics, or have experience with major machine tooling, plastic injection molding machines, blow molding machines, or extrusion machines, you would be a great attribute to our team!

Requirements

Associate Degree in technical field or 2 plus years of related experience, preferably as a Field Service Engineer or Technician, or combination of education and experience.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Willingness to travel and work overtime as necessary
Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic circuit skills
Ability to read mechanical blueprints, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics

Nice To Haves

installed, repaired, troubleshot robotics
experience with major machine tooling, plastic injection molding machines, blow molding machines, or extrusion machines

Responsibilities

Assure product performance to customer requirements.
Supply technical advice or service on product application.
May conduct training and service programs in the operation and maintenance of products.
Service accounts with major importance, independently handling problems requiring considerable technical ability and ingenuity.
Must be able to troubleshoot all problem areas efficiently and effectively on Milacron equipment and related systems.
Must be proficient in control systems.
Ability to manage special projects and follow-up with procedures and proper documentation.
Must be able to lead and train less experienced service personnel when assigned to similar projects.
Must be able to maintain good customer relations and communications.
