USP Technologies is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team in the Great Lakes Region. The candidate can expect to primarily support a customer base within Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan; however, travel to support customers in Indiana will be required sporadically throughout the year (i.e., 8 weeks out of the year). Note: Candidates must pass DISA drug and background screening prior to onboarding, as required by our customers.

Requirements

High school diploma with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in field equipment service and chemical pump maintenance.
Strong technical skills in plumbing, electrical circuits (120/208 VAC, single and three-phase), instrumentation (flowmeters, level sensors, VFDs, RTDs, thermocouples), and electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and BOMs.
Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills; capable of managing own schedule and adapting to changes in project scope.
Valid driver’s license with a clean record and willingness to travel, including overnight stays and air travel when required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and familiarity with online collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer or plant sites to perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on chemical pumps, plumbing systems, and field instrumentation.
Inspect, test, and repair electrical circuits, instrumentation, and chemical metering systems, including reading schematics, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams.
Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to resolve technical issues and ensure adherence to USP standard practices.
Maintain accurate documentation of service performed, schedules, and any changes in project scope, using Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
Operate machinery such as forklifts when necessary and ensure compliance with all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
