As a Field Service Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting our advanced vacuum valve systems through hands-on technical service, both remotely and on-site. Requirements

  • A degree or certification in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of complex equipment.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of Basic Electronics and capable of reading drawings.
  • Computer skills - proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Office applications.
  • Prior experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or a similar role is highly valued.
  • Ability to function independently and multi-task is a must.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients and collaborate effectively with team members is a must.
  • Capability to work in clean-room environments and to stand on your feet for extended periods throughout the workday, handle equipment safely.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds with frequent lift/carry of 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, as required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Responsibilities

  • Provides remote and on-site advanced level technical support to evaluate, troubleshoot and repair VAT products.
  • Travel to customer's site for field service or training when necessary.
  • Work with Product Groups in the HQ about product challenges in the field providing detailed feedback on troubleshooting, service, repair, and product improvements.
  • Complete repairs and test the product to factory specifications.
  • Leverage VAT ERP system and tools to select parts necessary for repair and order from the spares depot.
  • Monitor and maintain the service workflows to complete assigned daily tasks such as Evaluations, Repairs and Failure assessments.
  • Write concise, clear failure analysis reports.
  • Must be available to work overtime as required.
