About The Position

As an Installation Technician at DIRECTV, you will be responsible for installing and repairing satellite equipment while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves working independently in various environments, educating customers about services, and ensuring all installations meet quality standards. You will represent the company as the face of the brand, contributing to the mission of enhancing customer connections through technology and entertainment.

Requirements

• Valid state driver's license, commercial license, or chauffeur's license appropriate for the vehicle driven.
• Satisfactory driving record check.
• Ability to work day, evening, or night shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and meet physical requirements for ladder climbing and other tasks.
• Completion of a satisfactory Physical Abilities Evaluation (PAE).
• Satisfactory results from the Premise Technician Assessment Technical.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in customer service or technical support roles.
• Familiarity with satellite installation and repair processes.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair satellite equipment for voice, data, and video services.
• Educate customers on the features and functionality of services provided.
• Verify all services are operational and demonstrate them to customers.
• Perform installations in various locations including buildings, attics, basements, and crawl spaces.
• Work at heights using ladders and raised surfaces to install equipment.
• Drive a company vehicle to various service locations and report directly to work.
• Follow established safety practices and procedures while working in all weather conditions.
