About The Position

As a Field Service Technician you will deliver service, maintenance, and repairs on VTS machinery, including robotics, PLCs, conveyors, and other packaging equipment across all Visy sites. You’ll work with customers, internal teams, and suppliers to troubleshoot issues, provide solutions, and ensure machinery reliability and safety. The role includes hands-on work and administrative duties such as documenting service calls, completing check sheets, generating reports, ordering parts, and providing operator training.

Requirements

  • Trade experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or technical service
  • Experience with robotics, PLCs, pneumatics, and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and technical reporting
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and reliable

Responsibilities

  • Conduct service, maintenance, and repairs on VTS machinery
  • Recommend improvements for machine reliability and efficiency
  • Provide after-sales support and customer technical advice
  • Complete service reports, check sheets, and documentation
  • Support continuous improvement and system upgrades
  • Train customer staff to optimise machine performance
  • Follow all OHSE rules and maintain a safe work environment
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours and travel locally, interstate, and occasionally overseas is required.
