About The Position

The Field Service Technician role at BeaconMedaes involves performing routine maintenance and repairs on medical gas equipment at customer facilities in Southern Virginia. The technician is responsible for ensuring high-quality service, maintaining customer relationships, and upholding the company's standards of excellence. This position requires a blend of technical skills, customer service, and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of technical field service experience maintaining and repairing equipment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of compressed air or vacuum equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Must have ASSE 6005 and ASSE 6040 credentials or the ability to obtain ASSE certification within 1 year of employment.
  • Associate degree or equivalent education.
  • Technical training in mechanical and/or electrical, or equivalent experience.
  • Comfortable using a computer and familiar with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical components.
  • Customer-focused and a team player.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on Medical Gas Products.
  • Conduct diagnostics on malfunctioning products and determine possible causes for malfunctions.
  • Test and document the proper operating parameters prior to and following maintenance and repairs.
  • Provide high levels of customer service and respond to customer needs.
  • Develop rapport with customers through effective communication and professionalism.
  • Train and assist other Service Technicians as requested.
  • Provide technical support to other departments as required.
  • Promote and practice proper safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a professional image through appearance and actions.
  • Uphold a positive company brand through attention to the appearance of the company vehicle.
  • Maintain service vehicle per manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Manage inventory levels accurately for quick customer repairs.
  • Complete job reports daily, time sheets weekly, and expense reports monthly.
  • Return parts replaced under warranty as requested.
