About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Field Service Technician to join our security systems team in a full-time, salaried position. This role involves installing, maintaining, and servicing access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems at customer sites. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience or strong technical aptitude with systems such as Lenel and Verkada, along with excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. You'll work both independently and alongside senior technicians to ensure reliable, high-quality installations and responsive customer support.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's or technical degree in electronics, IT, or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of field service or security systems experience (installation, maintenance, or IT/networking support).
  • Experience with or knowledge of Lenel, Verkada, or other IP-based access and video systems is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of networking (IP addressing, cabling, switches, PoE).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally to customer sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with or knowledge of Lenel, Verkada, or other IP-based access and video systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and service electronic security systems including access control, CCTV, intercom, and alarm systems.
  • Support and maintain Lenel, Verkada, and other integrated security platforms.
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electronic, network, and hardware components.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and software updates as scheduled.
  • Document all service activities, materials used, and site conditions through digital reports.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive customer relationships during site visits.
  • Ensure all work complies with company standards, safety protocols, and client requirements.
  • After-hours service as required.
