About The Position
The Field Service Technician position at Natus Medical is a remote role primarily covering the Montana region, with some national travel required. This role is crucial in providing top-notch technical support for computer-based medical instrumentation. The technician will be responsible for building strong relationships with customers, managers, and the national service team, ensuring that service needs are met effectively and efficiently. The technician will work remotely but will need to travel to customer locations for installations, calibrations, and repairs of medical equipment. In this position, the technician must stay updated on all Quality System procedures that impact the quality of products and services provided to customers. Responsibilities include performing installations and repairs, completing calibration forms, and maintaining a high standard of product knowledge. The technician will collaborate closely with sales and service teams to understand customer needs and streamline service scheduling. A strong customer focus is essential, with an emphasis on problem-solving and innovation. The technician will also manage truck stock for parts replacement and ensure that all tools and equipment are functioning properly. The role requires effective communication skills to interact with customers and address their concerns promptly. The technician will also be responsible for booking travel arrangements for customer visits and attending trade shows and meetings as necessary. This position does not involve any supervisory responsibilities, making it a hands-on technical role that requires a proactive approach to customer service and technical support.
