About The Position

The Field Service Technician at INNIO will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical hands-on field service work on Jenbacher Gas Engines. This role encompasses a variety of tasks including commissioning, troubleshooting, periodic maintenance, and minor overhauls of engines that range in power from 0.25 to 9.5 MW. These engines operate on natural gas and various other gases such as biogas, landfill gas, coal mine gas, sewage gas, and combustible industrial waste gases. The technician will execute service on the engines in compliance with established maintenance protocols, which include checking oil levels, replacing filters and valves, and conducting diverse types of measurements. In addition to routine maintenance, the technician will carry out minor repairs and collaborate with colleagues to execute major services on the engines. Coordination with external suppliers for specialist duties will also be a key responsibility. The technician will monitor maintenance activities to ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols and analyze engine failures, focusing on mechanics, electronics, and associated software systems. This role requires the creation of detailed visit reports that document the reasons for visits, symptoms, actions taken, materials used, and any follow-up actions needed. Furthermore, the technician will be responsible for maintaining a basic set of spare parts in their service van and ensuring a clean working environment. The position demands effective teamwork as well as the ability to work independently. Timely processing of timesheets, expense reports, EHS forms, and job reports is essential. Compliance with all EHS policies and procedures is mandatory to ensure a safe and productive work site. The technician may also be assigned additional duties as required.
