The Field Service Technician position at INNIO offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with Jenbacher Gas Engines, which are pivotal in providing sustainable energy solutions. This role is based in the Tucson/Mesa area and involves performing mechanical and electrical service work on engines that range in power from 0.25 to 9.5 MW. The technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks including commissioning, troubleshooting, periodic maintenance, and minor overhauls of the engines, which can operate on natural gas as well as other gases such as biogas, landfill gas, and industrial waste gases. In this role, the technician will execute service on the engines in compliance with established maintenance protocols. This includes checking oil levels, replacing filters and valves, and conducting various measurements. The technician will also carry out minor repairs in addition to planned services and will coordinate major service tasks with colleagues and external suppliers. Monitoring maintenance activities in accordance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols is crucial, as is analyzing engine failures in the areas of mechanics, electronics, and associated software systems. The technician will be expected to create detailed visit reports that document the reasons for service visits, symptoms observed, actions taken, materials used, and any follow-up actions required. Additionally, they will maintain a basic set of spare parts in their service vehicle and ensure a clean and organized working environment. Working effectively as part of a team or independently is essential, as is the timely processing of timesheets, expense reports, EHS forms, and job reports. Compliance with all EHS policies and procedures is mandatory to ensure a safe and productive work site.
