About The Position

If you have a keen eye for the big picture, excellent technical data analysis skills, and enjoy working collaboratively, we may have the perfect role for you! As a Field Service Technician II, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on our products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. You'll be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products and updating and tracking the status of all field related equipment. You'll build and maintain effective relationships with our customers and provide them with onsite training. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
  • Experience using troubleshooting techniques
  • Understanding of electrical wiring concepts
  • Radio communications, satellite communications, systems networking, and computer repair
  • Troubleshooting with systems
  • General avionics and radar experience
  • Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations
  • Ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to various OCONUS operating locations
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required
  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in a related field of study
  • Aircraft wiring or 2-3 years of basic I.T. network experience
  • Experience with FCC or FCC GROL
  • Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+
  • Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pilot Static Equipment gauges
  • FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience
  • Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
  • Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations
