The Field Service Technician II at Ring Power Corporation is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. This role requires the technician to wear proper personal protective equipment and to attend and successfully complete required technician training classes. The technician must maintain a necessary set of tools required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to the manufacturer's specifications. In this position, the technician will diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, which includes mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The technician is expected to work in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways to improve work methods, work area, and safety standards. Additionally, the technician will inspect components to ensure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs and will complete required documentation utilizing appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment and account for repair times. The technician will monitor job expenses versus repair estimates and ensure that the supervisor is aware of any cost overruns prior to job completion. A positive approach to work is essential, as the technician must maintain conduct that supports the work team and sets a standard for others to follow. Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations is crucial. The technician may also be responsible for training and mentoring others in the department and will perform other duties as assigned.
