About The Position

The Field Service Technician I role at Kinetico involves learning the installation, service, repair, and sales processes for residential water treatment systems. This position is focused on providing high-quality service to customers while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The technician will engage in local travel to perform various tasks related to water treatment products and customer service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid drivers' license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and show initiative.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, action and goal oriented.
  • Mechanical aptitude, good analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding the technology contained in the company's products is essential.
  • Plumbing experience and skills preferred.
  • Proven customer-centric focus and approach with the ability to establish and change priorities as required.
  • Excellent listening and verbal skills, and exceptional customer service phone skills.
  • Organized and able to provide detailed follow-up and follow-through of all company processes and procedures.
  • Proficient customer relations skills, and comfortable talking to customers about product and payment options.
  • Working knowledge of common software programs such as Word, Excel, etc.; familiarity with data entry systems a plus.

  • Plumbing experience and skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Learning residential applications and capabilities.
  • Following established procedures to evaluate equipment function and perform appropriate maintenance activity.
  • Observing and acting upon opportunities for further sales.
  • Delivering salt, filters, and other water treatment products.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Monitoring and restocking product inventory.
  • Finalizing reports on completion of field visits and submitting them to the service department in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including company vehicle and tools.
