About The Position

The Field Service Technician (FST) at Eagle Product Inspection is responsible for providing exceptional support to customers through the installation, maintenance, and repair of Eagle X-Ray machines. This role involves managing all aspects of field service support, including effective communication with customers, travel scheduling, and documentation, while adhering to company procedures and best practices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in Electronics or Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Significant orientation toward detail and thorough execution of tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with flexibility to change.
  • Self-starter who initiates corrective actions without specific direction from supervisor.
  • Outstanding ability to adhere to deadlines and time consciousness.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Possess conflict management skills and ability to work in an organizational structure.
  • Ability to interface with other departments and teams professionally.

  • Ability to use all types of hand tools and digital test equipment.
  • Knowledge of mechanics, electronics, and distribution systems.
  • Working mechanical knowledge of conveyor systems.
  • Working knowledge of AC and DC electrical distribution systems.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, Excel, Word, Adobe), various phone applications.
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Fluency in English required; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Satisfy all Safety Requirements for both Eagle, MT-PI and Customer Sites.
  • Attend weekly calls led by a Service Manager.
  • Efficiently execute scheduled service calls as directed from Dispatch or Management while considering cost, time, and customer needs/expectations.
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships; Become the customer's trusted advisor.
  • Identify root cause of service issues (first time fix).
  • Accurately complete and submit all service reports and documentation per service activity, timesheets, and expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Assess product/equipment performance, recommend modifications or improvements, communicate all open items.
  • Keep up with ongoing technical training.
  • Weekend/afterhours work as required based on workload and rotation.
  • Maintain company supplied equipment, tools, and inventory.
  • Participate in a remote technical support rotation.
  • Follow the Code of Conduct and perform other duties as assigned.
