About The Position

We are currently seeking a Air Compressor Field Service Technicians to service the San Antonio, Texas region. The Field Service Technician performs field support activities, which involve start-up, preventive and corrective maintenance within the assigned territory. The selected candidate will possess air compressor repair experience, knowledge, and skills for effective utilization of related equipment and proven troubleshooting processes and procedures. A sign-on bonus is available for those qualified. The position will be based out of 5665 S. East Loop 410, San Antonio, Texas 78222.

Requirements

  • 5 - 10 years electrical/mechanical industrial experience.
  • Knowledge of customer equipment operations and ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles and components.
  • Technical understanding of electrical and electronic systems, microprocessors, VSD, Industrial Control and Automation Management.
  • Knowledge of different types of piping and installing blue Transair piping, fittings, and anchors.
  • EPA certifications with Freon experience are a plus.
  • Sullair factory-certified level one (minimum).
  • Must have a valid driver license and an excellent driving record.
  • Must have their own tools, meters, and refrigerated equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Oil field safety experience.
  • Spanish speaking to communicate with customers.
  • Professional Technical Institutional training preferred.
  • Journeyman Electrician certification.
  • Electronic T/S certification.
  • Failure Analysis - Lvl 1 certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field support activities including start-up, preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all components and brands of air compressors.
  • Use multimeters, amp meters, vibration and infrared meters, and megger.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance such as oil changes, cleaning, and setting controls.
  • Set up rigging equipment and safely remove and reinstall motors, compressors, and associated components.
  • Safely use all hand tools and power tools such as drill motors, grinders, band saws, etc.
  • Assist with the manufacturing of skid packages for the oil field.
  • Understand and service cooling towers, water quality management, and care.
  • Install data loggers and understand systems and install locations of devices.
  • Complete paperwork daily and provide on-call response during the assigned week.
