About The Position

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 0-3 years’ experience servicing medical equipment.
  • Ability to travel 100% of the time.
  • Knowledge of TJC, DNV, HFAP, CAP, NFPA, CMS, HIPAA, other applicable standards and regulations.
  • High degree of self-motivation, commitment and integrity.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Clinical applications, CMMS systems).
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of electronics and biomedical engineering technology as applied to the calibration and repair of biomedical equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, read schematics and/or blue prints.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

  • OEM training certificates in specialty medical equipment preferred.
  • Field related technical certifications (like A+, CBET, CRES or CLES) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections, installation support, testing, calibration, troubleshooting and maintenance on hospital equipment.
  • Provide maintenance support on general medical equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate and maintain positive relationships with customers and hospital staff & Administration.
  • Ensure service documentation is complete, accurate and timely entered into the BSI work order management system.
  • Provide assistance to all other levels of technicians/engineers as needed in regards to troubleshooting repairs.
  • Be available for after hour service calls as directed by Manager.
  • Represent BSI in front-line leadership tasks such as Environment of care meetings/rounds.
  • Exhibit pride and professionalism, as well as technical expertise at all times.
