About The Position

The Field Services Technician at Bay4 Energy Services, LLC is responsible for providing maintenance and repairs on solar and battery energy systems within a designated geographic area. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy outdoor work, travel, and independent tasks. The technician will respond to service tickets, perform testing and troubleshooting, and document work completed in the field. The position emphasizes safety, integrity, and quality of work, contributing to the company's commitment to renewable energy operations and maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Electrical experience and knowledge of high voltage systems.
• Forklift and scissor lift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to perform complex testing and troubleshooting.

Nice To Haves

• NABCEP certification or other solar certifications.
• Experience in the solar industry.
• Fundamental power and electrical knowledge.
• Data and communications knowledge.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior personnel.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service tickets from dispatch to maintain and repair solar and battery equipment.
• Test, analyze, and troubleshoot issues in inverters and monitoring systems.
• Perform moderately complex testing and troubleshooting of solar PV and battery energy storage facilities.
• Use and maintain test devices and tools for equipment calibration and repair.
• Complete documentation of work performed using digital devices and software.
• Manage vehicle inventory and restock as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, work vehicle, and equipment.
• Participate in safety programs and adhere to safety rules and procedures.
