You'll travel to customer sites to perform maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment. Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (required for Field Service travel).
  • Strong understanding of internal combustion engines and basic hydraulics/electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and service software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must own a complete set of tools appropriate for equipment maintenance.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to attend ongoing training from Arnold Machinery and vendors.
  • Ability to use MICROSOFT EXCEL, WORD. Experience with other MS OFFICE programs helpful
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use office machines (fax, copier, computer, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in servicing forklifts, material handling, or heavy equipment is a plus.
  • Background in mobile field service work preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive to customer locations to service and repair forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to diagnose and repair issues.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, supervisors, and teammates both verbally and in writing.
  • Evaluate repair situations to determine whether assistance or additional resources are needed.
  • Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and laptop software.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

  • Express appreciation to customers and verify satisfaction with services provided.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service truck and workspace.
  • Support the Service Manager with additional tasks as needed.
