About The Position

The Field Service Representative at Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC is responsible for managing service orders related to the disconnecting, reconnecting, setting, reading, and investigating of meters across residential, commercial, and industrial premises. This role emphasizes safety, timely service delivery, and quality customer interactions, ensuring the integrity of energy measurement and delivery within an assigned service territory.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License required.
• Experience in meter reading or related electric measurement; working with electric utility field service orders is encouraged.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in customer service roles.
• Familiarity with electric utility operations.

Responsibilities

• Determine the type of meters to initiate service.
• Maintain professionalism when meeting and engaging with residential and commercial customers.
• Use proper test equipment to determine proper voltage and guard against faulty or hazardous conditions.
• Assure service order completion within a specified time frame over a diverse geographic area, while meeting company safety rules/regulations and providing quality and courteous customer service.
• Ensure the integrity of the company's measurement devices and energy delivery through evaluation of a premise for diversion of energy, faulty inappropriate wiring, and/or incorrect recording of readings and the proper documentation of diversion.
• Ability to drive for long periods of time as needed.
• Perform all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements.
