ATS Life Sciences is seeking candidates to join their Systems team, which is part of ATS Corporation, a global enterprise focused on factory-wide automation solutions for medical device and pharmaceutical companies. The role involves relocating to Cambridge, Canada for 6 months to a year for machine building, followed by ongoing customer support in the USA. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, building strong relationships, enhancing technical skills, and executing service support strategies.

  • Integration with the CAPEX Team as a contributing member of the build team.
  • Building strong relationships with team members, CAPEX PM, and customers.
  • Deepening product knowledge and understanding the customer’s product and assembly process.
  • Enhancing technical skills through hands-on experience with HMI fault messaging and machine diagnostics.
  • Collaborative problem-solving with the assembly team lead.
  • Engaging in integration, Pre-FAT, FAT, teardown, installation & SAT.
  • Executing the Service Support Strategy POST-SAT as per contract.
  • Facilitating warranty/non-warranty claims with the customer centric team.
  • Driving operational and performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPI’s) of the equipment.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical equipment at the customer’s facility.
  • Operating systems to demonstrate equipment operation and analyze malfunctions.
  • Recording changes to mechanical system or component schematics.
  • Providing information for machine technical documentation.
  • Supervising workers in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment.
  • Advising management regarding customer satisfaction and product performance.
  • Working with suppliers to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintaining service reports and bulletins.
  • Consulting with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems.
  • Working with Sales Account Manager and Key Account Service Leader on account management.
  • Maintaining ISO standards.
  • Coordinating additional PTO during contract duration.
  • Tool & die maker, Millwright, MTBI, or equivalent.
  • Greater than three (3) years of experience within a mechanical automation environment.
  • Experience in applying complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
  • Competent user of Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience using Salesforce is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and commercial skills.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Ability to read drawings, reference manuals, and assembly systems instruction guides.
  • Dependable with a great work ethic and attendance.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Driving license in good standing.
  • Required to travel to the US, Canada, and Europe.
  • Design experience is an asset.
