Requirements

  • Automotive vocational degree or five-year automotive technical experience a must
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) is required
  • Willingness to travel within CONUS and OCONUS locations for extended periods and have sufficient credit to be approved for company credit card
  • Extremely strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Work independently and as part of a team, multi-task with attention to detail, have strong customer service skills with problem solving skills and a high level of initiative
  • Extensive working knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
  • Must be able to qualify or possess a U.S. Government Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive Service and Excellence (ASE) Certifications a plus
  • Prior Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) experience in the maintenance field related to the JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle) and HMMWV (High Mobility Multi Wheeled Vehicle) is desirable
  • Experience as an instructor is a plus
  • Solid understanding of the theory and operation of a CAN BUS network and be able to troubleshoot/repair is a plus
  • Experience with Total Package Fielding (TPF) as it pertains to the JLTV is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert on automotive systems to include JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle) and HMMWV (High Mobility Multi Wheeled Vehicle) including technical information, tooling, and maintenance procedures to support customers worldwide
  • Support contract requirements by conducting short- and long-term field service support to customers worldwide
  • Provide highly detailed field service reports outlining program status, deficiencies, and repairs
  • Perform Maintenance and Services in support of department operations as required
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and permanently correct automotive electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues
  • Promotes AM General Training and Field Service capabilities to customers
  • Serve as liaison between customer field operations and manufacturing, engineering, and quality for component issues and or other product concerns
  • Support engineering during testing efforts at various test sites
  • Support the Training department
  • Support customers with technical and service inquires that deliver the highest level of customer service
