About The Position

The Field Service Representative I is responsible for the direct implementation of customer-required on-site field services related to Calgon Carbon's activated carbon products, equipment, and service offerings. This role is a critical part of Calgon Carbon's customer support and service value proposition, often mandated by contractual obligations. Calgon Carbon, a Kuraray Company, is a scientific innovator with over 80 years of legacy, holding more than 205 patents. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
  • Confined Space Certification (Candidate must successfully complete training within 3 months of hire date) is required
  • Driver's License (Class A preferrable) is required
  • HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification (Candidate must successfully complete training within 3 months of hire date) is required
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (Candidate must successfully obtain within 3 months of hire date) is required
  • 2-3 years of mechanical aptitude and an understanding of mechanical systems; hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving/repairing technical and mechanical issues is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the carbon treatment industry or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and documentation of daily on-site activities using FSWO database and work process
  • Carbon adsorption equipment start-up and customer training on proper use through O&M manual and work process
  • Carbon and other media removal and installation
  • Carbon adsorption equipment installation and removal
  • Carbon adsorption equipment maintenance, inspection repair and troubleshooting
