Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent mandatory.
  • Technical vocational schooling desirable (electronics or electro-mechanical preferred), or experience in copier repair or repair and maintenance of electronic equipment.
  • Must possess or achieve Comptia A+ certification within one (1) year of hire.
  • Must possess strong communication skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Must successfully complete Sharp equipment pre-testing and training.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software products preferred.
  • Valid Drivers License, and Automobile insurance within company guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with and receives mentorship from experienced Field Service Technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing cutting-edge Sharp equipment within a designated territory.
  • Resolve at least 85% of service calls independently post-training, striving for mastery in equipment maintenance.
  • Conducts mechanical and electronic adjustments on equipment as per Technical Service Manual and Field Engineering Bulletins.
  • Interprets schematics and conducts electrical troubleshooting, including our complete digital product line.
  • Handles customer relations independently, escalating complex situations as necessary.
  • Manages parts inventory efficiently to support smooth operations.
  • Completes administrative tasks promptly and accurately.
  • Collaborates with colleagues and management to achieve service goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Reports equipment performance issues to the Branch Field Service Manager and any steps you have taken to resolve them.
  • Assists with additional duties as assigned by the Branch Field Service Manager.
