About The Position

Dover Precision Components delivers products and services that enhance performance, improve safety, reduce carbon emissions, and accelerate clean energy adoption, through collaborative customer relationships, expert engineering, and an innovative culture. The position oversees complex customer support activities on gas compression and rotating equipment inside customer plants and in the field under general supervision. The role acts as a subject matter expert for equipment in the assigned area and mentors and trains other Supervisors on technical aspects and soft skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Gas or diesel engine and compressor basics training certification required.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated high speed, low speed gas compression and/or rotating equipment experience.
  • Demonstrated history of successful and safe service experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant trade certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical failure analysis and investigation.
  • Basics of Continuous Improvement concepts.
  • Knowledge of or training in relevant HSE procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates expert diagnostic, highly efficient troubleshooting, investigation, maintenance and repair skills on multiple OEM compression/rotating equipment and drivers.
  • Coordinates, prioritizes, and resolves issues encountered by service technicians in the plant & field.
  • Responsible for managing multiple teams performing Daily Maintenance (DM), Major Maintenance (MM), Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Full Overhauls to established standards with no assistance.
  • Responsible for coordinating and communicating the coverage, call handling, response time and protocols of service technicians.
  • Through team management, aims to improve quality by maximizing the first time fix rate of equipment.
  • Responsible for providing technical support/proposals to customers and sales team in a given discipline(s) including: systems installations, repairs, preventative maintenance, overhauls and pro-active follow-up on an intermittent basis.
  • Ensures service technicians demonstrate proficiency in order to perform quality, efficient work with minimal call backs.
  • Model established health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and effectively communicates all technical issues to customer and Manager in a timely fashion.
  • Completes and submits company required documentation including timesheets, invoices, and detailed reports in an accurate and timely fashion.
