Field Service Power Generation Technician
About The Position
We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Manassas, VA. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: + Completing repair activities on generators or components + Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner + Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools + Maintain detailed records of service + Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies + Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products + Maintain own tools
Requirements
- Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
- High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
- Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision - hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
- Primarily engaged in preventative maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics on generators.
- Basic Diesel Engine experience.
- Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality. Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Current relevant electrical certification Locally valid driving permitThis position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Minimal level of workshop related experience required.Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience
- Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm with weekend work and afterhours
- A current valid license is required for this role
- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
