About The Position

Completes preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on Generator or component at the customer site with minimal direction. We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Grand Junction, CO. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Completing repair activities on generators or components, engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner, performing maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools, maintaining detailed records of service, adhering to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies, and ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products. You will also be responsible for maintaining your own tools.

Requirements

  • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities
  • High Voltage / Low Voltage experience
  • Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision
  • Entry level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products
  • Basic Diesel Engine experience
  • Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality
  • A current valid license is required for this role
  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
  • This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
  • 3 years driving experience
  • This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
  • Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older

  • Apprentice Trained Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Current relevant electrical certification
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
