About The Position

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Sumner, WA. In this role, you will diagnose and complete less complex repairs to generators and components at the customer's site. You will make an impact by completing repair activities on generators or components, engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner, performing maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools, maintaining detailed records of service, and adhering to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies. Ongoing development and certifications on new and existing Cummins products are also part of the role. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining your own tools.

Requirements

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience
• Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision
• Basic Diesel Engine experience
• Proficient troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components
• Able to perform repairs on ATS systems and able to perform commissioning on a new ATS installation
• Current valid license required
• 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
• Applicant must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
• 3 years driving experience
• Must be 21 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

• 07 License not required, preferred
• Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• Current relevant electrical certification
• Locally valid driving permit
• Licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
