Position Summary: The Field Service Lead is a senior field role responsible for performing advanced installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas-powered mobile power units while also providing technical leadership and on-site guidance to Service Technicians. This role serves as a working lead—modeling safe work practices, supporting training, coordinating field activities, and acting as a primary technical resource in the field.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Four (4) years of relevant field service or power generation experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, must be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of three (3) years of driving history.
  • Must maintain a satisfactory driving record to safely operate company vehicles.
  • This position is safety sensitive. It is subject to pre-employment and/or periodic background checks, motor vehicle records (MVR) and drug testing.
  • Must be able to successfully complete an intense background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience serving as a lead, mentor, or senior technician strongly preferred
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the duties of the job

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, test, and troubleshoot natural gas-powered mobile power units at customer sites
  • Perform advanced diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs on power generation systems
  • Serve as escalation point for complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
  • Respond to emergency service calls and lead on-site troubleshooting efforts
  • Ensure equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and customer standards
  • Act as a working lead for Service Technicians in the field, providing day-to-day technical guidance and support
  • Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and informal training of new or less experienced technicians
  • Coordinate work assignments on-site to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality outcomes
  • Model and reinforce safety expectations, including HSE procedures and hazard identification
  • Communicate job status, issues, and recommendations to the Regional Manager and operations leadership
  • Maintain accurate and timely service records, diagnostics, repairs, and parts usage
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process, equipment, or training improvements
  • Support standardization of field practices and documentation
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing learning and development
  • Other duties as assigned
