The Field Service Engineer provides service to customers with regards to preventative maintenance, retrofit installation, troubleshooting and repair with minimal support. This role involves maintaining inventory of parts and supplies, installing and repairing scientific instrumentation manufactured by Luminex Corporation at customer locations within a multi-state geographic region, and managing an expense account, service tools, and spare parts inventories. The engineer will interface daily with internal and external customers, submit written reports, and utilize the CRM system to capture full documentation of all calls and enter appropriate codes to ensure accurate history of reporting trends and corrective actions. Meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction through service excellence is essential. Compliance with field service technical standards and meeting departmental expectations regarding response time, PM completion rates, service callbacks, and customer satisfaction survey results is required. Service is provided Monday through Friday, typically between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., occasionally requiring extended workdays.
