About The Position

MKS Instruments is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer in the Austin Texas area. This individual will provide highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Manage installation and repair of Liquid and Dry Ozone, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), and Residual Gas Analyzer (RGA) products for key accounts in US. This position will require travel about 40% of the time. This typically involves travel to a customer site on a Monday, performing an installation or service, and returning home no later than Friday.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, or equivalent; with minimum of 5 years of related Semiconductor experience or similar; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experienced with standard Microsoft Office programs
  • Work with integrity, is ethical and is able to inspire the trust of others.
  • Strong analytic, business and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated, self-driven, positive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, high tech environment.
  • Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
