Reporting to the Field Service Manager , the Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing daily onsite support to our customers using CDI Laser Engraving Equipment (Digital Flexo). This includes performing service, repairs, and installations of products, as well as conducting electrical and mechanical testing. The role requires diagnosing system failures, implementing the most cost-effective solutions, and escalating complex issues to higher levels of technical support or the quality reporting system. This position is remote and will be located in Dallas, TX.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience installing and maintaining copier, printing, industrial, or military equipment.
  • Continued Education in electrical, mechanical, or technical fields, or equivalent military training.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Strong working knowledge of PC hardware and software installation, including video, network, and HDD drivers.
  • Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time, including 65% overnight stays as required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform onsite services at Esko customers, including new installations and operator training.
  • Conduct electrical, mechanical, and laser optics repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Implement field upgrades and machine software updates.
  • Extensive travel up to 90% of the time, including overnight stays and approximately 35% local travel and 65% nationwide travel across the US, using the company vehicle or flights as needed.
