Requirements

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in field service engineering or research and development settings
  • Experience with hardware, electrical, and system manufacturing
  • Assembly and soldering experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
  • General ability and knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Excellent skills in technical problem solving
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cryogenic systems, vacuum systems, and/or leak checking is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance trips at customer sites
  • Perform system installations at customer sites
  • Ensure positive customer relationships through proactive communication
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues using SOPs
  • Work from electrical schematics, mechanical assembly prints, and work instructions
  • Help improve service and maintenance SOPs
  • Complete all necessary documentation like site reports and issue tickets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues
  • Focus on continuous improvement by leveraging customer and firsthand experience
  • Up to 30% domestic travel required
