The Field Service Engineer position at Accuray is a field-based role responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support for TomoTherapy and CyberKnife systems. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by managing and resolving equipment issues promptly, thereby directly impacting the quality of cancer treatment provided to patients. The engineer will work in the Little Rock, AR area, covering Memphis, TN, and central Mississippi, and may need to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer needs.

  • Provide installation, repair, upgrade, and maintenance support for TomoTherapy and CyberKnife systems at customer sites.
  • Promote customer satisfaction through timely responses to customer calls and effective communication.
  • Maintain regular communication with management and team members regarding customer matters.
  • Self-manage schedule and work priorities to address urgent customer requirements.
  • Provide remote support via phone and internet, as well as on-site visits as needed.
  • Document work activities completely and timely.
  • Review customer issues and communicate concerns regarding product performance and safety to Accuray.
  • Assist in training customer support staff and site personnel on maintenance and service activities.
  • Manage parts inventory and return replaced parts to Accuray for processing.
  • Complete expense reports for field service activities and training.
  • Assist in the development of service documentation and field support tools.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in field service, installation, and troubleshooting complex electronic equipment, or a bachelor's degree with less field experience considered.
  • Ability to work independently and manage field service activities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong system-level troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with an understanding of basic networking.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Previous experience in large medical device field service.
  • Former military experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Knowledge of medical linear accelerator or microwave RF systems and computer networks.
  • Experience with robotics and/or electro-mechanical systems service.
  • Accuray Bonus Plan eligibility or role-specific commission/bonus.
