Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for a Field Service Engineer – NETA Testing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer- NETA Testing, is responsible for providing technical expertise in the installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power systems and equipment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience with high-voltage and industrial power systems, and the ability to work independently in the field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and be able to deliver high-quality service to customers while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

  • Provide technical expertise in the installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power systems and equipment.
  • Deliver high-quality service to customers while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Work independently in the field and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Utilize electrical test equipment such as power analyzers and relay test sets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical power systems, field service, or related roles preferred.
  • Strong understanding of power distribution systems, high-voltage equipment, and protective relays.
  • Proficiency in using electrical test equipment such as power analyzers, relay test sets, etc.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as IEEE, NFPA 70E, NETA, and ANSI.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for on-site service assignments.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain necessary work permits or certifications as required.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT)/Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification or working towards certification.
  • NETA Level II or higher certification.
  • Experience with SCADA systems, PLCs, and automation controls.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing technical support role.
