About The Position

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for conducting on-site surveys for Regal Rexnord's Marine & PowerGen Aftermarkets, creating presentations to summarize findings, and promoting MRO business for worn products. The role requires excellent communication skills for detailed reporting and customer interaction, as well as the ability to self-manage time and travel arrangements. The engineer will also work on improving survey efficiency and support the application engineering team as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum of 3 years of comparable experience, including co-op assignments.
  • Experience in a technical field service.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude.
  • Comfortable with problem solving basic mechanical issues on the fly.
  • Ability to conduct onboard service jobs in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Previous experience from marine industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and conduct coupling inspections and replacements at site (onboard vessels and shore based powerplants).
  • Provide technical support to our global customer base and maintain excellent client relations on all levels of their organization.
  • Support development and drive implementation of aftermarket strategy.
  • Conduct technical trainings to strategic distributors and selected end-users (on-site and web-based).
  • Plan, execute, and report service jobs globally.
  • Handle spare parts and service jobs quotation and order in ERO system.
  • Gather and document information in the field with attention to detail.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Read and measure survey equipment and perform various survey calculations.
  • Develop and maintain sales promotion documentation.
  • Maintain the Service database and uphold documentation and standardization of work.
  • Learn relevant Regal Rexnord product lines and positively identify products in the field.
  • Assist customers with product identification and selection.
  • Regularly interface with Sales and Engineering teams as well as customers and distribution partners.
  • Book travel arrangements (flight, hotel, car) and responsibly use a company credit card for meals and work-related expenses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
