About The Position

Performing a variety of complex technical functions in support of engineering activities such as system design, power analysis, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical systems Developing power/system block diagrams, wiring schematics, and functional cable-build drawing packages Engineering and implementing power solutions and integration strategies for various military payloads Performing on-site installation, fabrication, integration, and testing of electronic circuits and mechanical devices Providing technical support to customers on operational/maintenance aspects of system equipment Assisting with interpreting drawings and planning for system and cable installation Updating system drawings and makes recommendations for upgrades as appropriate Leading a team of FSE as required #LI-LL1

Requirements

  • Five or more years of computer & networking skills
  • Five or more years of electronics/electrical experience
  • Proven mechanical aptitude
  • Five or more years of cable fabrication experience
  • Understands technical drawings, including: assembly, power, wiring, equipment rack elevation, and cable building
  • Ability to lead a team
  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET / SCI ELIGIBILITY

Nice To Haves

  • Formal electronics training
  • Cable fabrication training (MIL-DIL-5015, D38999, RJ45, RF: N-type, SMA)
  • Electrical training & knowledge (wiring and understanding 3 phase delta/wye systems)
  • Integration training & knowledge (preferably shipboard systems)
  • Familiarity with military communication systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities

  • Performing a variety of complex technical functions in support of engineering activities such as system design, power analysis, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical systems
  • Developing power/system block diagrams, wiring schematics, and functional cable-build drawing packages
  • Engineering and implementing power solutions and integration strategies for various military payloads
  • Performing on-site installation, fabrication, integration, and testing of electronic circuits and mechanical devices
  • Providing technical support to customers on operational/maintenance aspects of system equipment
  • Assisting with interpreting drawings and planning for system and cable installation
  • Updating system drawings and makes recommendations for upgrades as appropriate
  • Leading a team of FSE as required
