Field Service Engineer - Entry-Level This is an amazing training program that is offered to qualified applicants that have Mechanical/Elertical Experience, AS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical plus experience or a new college grad with a BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related to the position

Requirements

  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry.
  • Experience using digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, hand tools, and computers.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of physics and chemistry.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with management, co-workers, internal and external customer
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate information to customers and management regarding service activities and schedules
  • Demonstrate ability to follow precise instruction
  • Demonstrate ability to perform selected routine service calls (Preventive Maintenance and Basic Emergency Service) on one or more models of a product line (measured by instrument certification)
  • Demonstrate the ability to hookup and obtain a beam on instruments selected by immediate manager
  • The ability to work from schematics using various test equipment and mathematical calculations specific to electronic
  • Ability to effectively interface with customers, service department personnel and other
  • Ability to provide preventive maintenance and basic emergency service on specified instruments
  • Ability to work with intricate objects and materials.
  • Ability to transport parts and toolbox from car to equipment site.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Hand-eye coordination to support a range of activities from very fine (delicate) to large.
  • Ability to communicate and receive communication via telephone
  • Must comply with all corporate safety requirements and directives
  • Expected to use PPE when required
  • Follow all equipment specific safety protocols

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned formal training with a grade of 75 or more on all tests.
  • Complete assigned On the Job Training (OJT) with the goal of instrument certification.
  • Manage and maintain traveling inventory according to department policy and procedures.
  • Protect and maintain company property (traveling inventory, test equipment, tools, etc.).
  • Respond to email, messages, and service calls in a timely manner and with service department policies.
  • Maintain appropriate records of all work performed and training received.
