Partner with the best As a Field Service Engineer (FSE), you will represent Baker Hughes both technically and professionally, ensuring that equipment is installed, maintained, and started up safely and effectively

Requirements

  • Have an Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) (preferred)
  • Have Technical Diploma, with a minimum of 5 years of field experience working with gas turbines, compressors, or rotating equipment.
  • Have ability to demonstrate hands-on proficiency with any of the following: Mark VIe/VI/V control systems, PLCs, or safety systems.
  • Have experience in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment, including hands-on proficiency with HDGT (Frame 5, 6, or 7E) or ADGT (LM2500, LM6000, LMS100) instrumentation, control logic, and auxiliary systems.
  • Show exhibit strong customer-service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Have ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Show proven analytical skills and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
  • Have a solid Health, Safety, and Environmental mindset with full compliance to HSE standards.
  • Be willing and able to travel extensively (at least 70%), including internationally and offshore, without geographical restrictions.
  • Have a current or previous TWIC card or be eligible to obtain one.

Nice To Haves

  • Have experience with DLN (Dry Low NOx) or DLE (Dry Low Emissions) systems mapping is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Providing on-site technical direction for control system installation, loop checks, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance across oilfield, power generation, and industrial facilities.
  • Validating control sequencing and functionality for key auxiliary systems, including lube and hydraulic oil, starters, cooling, ventilation, Fire & Gas, seal systems, fuel/process valves, and anti‑surge systems.
  • Leading installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities while meeting schedule targets and strictly following Quality and HSE standards.
  • Delivering daily HSE toolbox inputs, highlighting critical tasks and safety considerations.
  • Applying strong problem‑solving skills and engineering documentation to support turbomachinery commissioning, start-up, and gas turbine maintenance.
  • Preparing job‑planning documentation according to the defined scope (installation, upgrade, outage).
  • Providing technical leadership to skilled labor and ensure all work meets BH standards.
  • Contributing to daily outage reports or weekly installation reports.
  • Communicating effectively with project, services and site management regarding planning, progress, and personnel logistics.
  • Preparing accurate technical reports for customer records and future reference.
  • Participating in customer and contractor meetings.
  • Following all applicable Quality procedures and ensure documentation is properly completed and updated.
  • Applying Site Quality Checklists, Job Cards, and Field Procedures, ensuring proper sign‑off.
  • Completing marked‑up drawings and reports after field modifications.
  • Addressing technical and material non‑conformities using Baker Hughes digital tools and follow through to resolution.
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulations, site requirements, and all elements of the Site Safety Manual
