About The Position

Now, we're on the lookout for a Field Service Engineer to join our Customer Support team. If you're a hands-on problem-solver with an eye for detail, a love for machinery, and a knack for customer service, keep reading. (And yes — we'll set you up with a company vehicle, full training, and OT pay after 8 hours.)  This position will primarily cover the greater Milwaukee, WI region.

Requirements

  • A cool head under pressure and a professional, positive attitude.
  • Sharp communication skills and a passion for great customer service.
  • Strong electro-mechanical skills — think motors, drives, transformers, and machine magic.
  • A tech-savvy mind with solid troubleshooting skills.
  • A valid driver's license and readiness for regional travel.
  • 2-year technical degree in Electrical/Automation OR 1+ year hands-on experience in a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • A background in machine tool installation, maintenance, or repair?
  • Manufacturing experience via internship, co-op, or job?

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Makino machines at customer facilities.
  • Train users and share your tech knowledge with customers.
  • Bridge the gap between Makino and the customer.
  • Document your work.
  • Work with our Customer Support tech systems and lend your smarts to our Knowledge Products team.
