About The Position

Humareso's client is a leader in the design and manufacturing of high-end industrial furnaces, serving critical industries such as aerospace, defense, and medical device manufacturing. They have an opening right now for a Field Service Technician with an Electrical Assembly background! Travel is 50%, day trips and overnight travel. Summary: We are seeking someone who will function primarily as an in-house mechanic/assembler while also serving as a field service technician when the need arises. This role is based out of the Aston, PA headquarters and requires a proactive professional who will support furnace production efforts. Occasional travel will be required to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial furnaces at various customers sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in a technically challenging environment that offers competitive pay and benefits. Expected travel is limited to 10 business days per month, with a maximum of 5 days per trip. A typical month’s workload will be performed 75% in-house in Aston, PA and 25% on location at customer sites.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a field service technician or similar role, preferably in industrial equipment.
  • Technical degree or certification in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with an ability to manage stressful situations gracefully.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport, or ability to obtain a passport.

Responsibilities

  • Support the assembly and production of furnaces.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with precision and provide timely solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support, both remotely and in person.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to improve product design and service delivery.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
  • Travel to customer locations to install new furnaces and conduct on-site repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to uphold company standards of reliability and efficiency.
  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
