Job Summary: Technical specialist and primary customer support contact to diagnose and execute complex repairs to engine products at the customer's site. We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Tucson, AZ). We offer sign -on bonus, relocation, competitive pay and benefits! Will make an impact in the following ways: + Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop + Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools + Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles + Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies + Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products + Maintain own tools

  • Completes complex internal engine repairs
  • Performs complex unassisted engine overhauls
  • Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
  • Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
  • Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation
  • A current valid license is required for this role
  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
  • This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
  • 3 years driving experience
  • This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
  • Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
  • This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Significant field service work experience
  • Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
  • Customer service experience
  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
