Job Overview
The Field Service Apprentice will support and learn from experienced Field Service Mechanics in both shop and field environments. This role is designed for individuals looking to build a career in crane and heavy equipment maintenance by gaining hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of equipment.

This position is based in the Gonzales/Baton Rouge, Louisiana region and will require travel to job sites as needed.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in the crane, heavy equipment, diesel, or related mechanical field or completion of a diesel/heavy equipment technical program
• Basic understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, or mechanical systems preferred
• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills in heavy equipment repair
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Commitment to safety and safe work practices
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn service-related systems
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred

Nice To Haves

• Diesel or heavy equipment technical school certification
• Exposure to crane or heavy equipment industry
• Familiarity with tools and basic mechanical practices

Responsibilities

• Keeps shop and maintenance area clean and within OSHA requirements.
• Support and encourage continuous improvements of the company’s processes, including safety programs
• Observe and follow all company safety rules and procedures
