About The Position

You will be a Field Sales Support System Engineer to be part of the Sustainment team supporting equipment and hardware sustainment activities. You will support the logistics and sustainment tasks of new systems, and the sustainment of existing fielded systems. As a Field Sales Support System Engineer, you will be responsible for driving logistics and sustainment support for production and field level operations, working closely with various functional groups to meet customer commitments and program growth objectives.

Requirements

  • Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information including holding an Active Secret Clearance with update within last 5 years
  • Must be proficient with Shop Floor Manager, SAP and/or Customer Supply systems as required
  • Knowledge of Logistics and Support concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with a variety of information technology applications to create purchase requirements, maintain and/or deliver government furnished equipment (GFE) hardware, tooling, and support equipment
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Must have proven ability to interact and coordinate effectively with a variety of teams, coordinate information, and present to all levels of management and senior members of customer organizations
  • Experience with the government DD250 Process
  • Experience with performance metric measures, risk and reporting techniques
  • Knowledge of shipping/receiving/warehousing activities
  • Ability to track, submit, and report contractual data deliverables
  • Excellent Oral and Written communication skills
  • Experience with Item Analyst taskings, Provisioning, and/or Procurement

Responsibilities

  • Tracking calibrated tooling and ensuring date compliance
  • Providing logistical support for multiple contracts
  • Coordinating with program Point of Contacts (POCs) to provide timely status updates
  • Interfacing with multiple functional groups to achieve completion of sustainment activities
  • Ensuring efficient process flow throughout repair and shipping processes
  • Providing timely communication and execution of logistics or supply activities to support repairs
  • Capturing and improving procedures to support process growth and lifecycle cost affordability
  • Proactively planning for and supporting spares and repair parts requirements, balancing inventory and mission needs
  • Performing annual physical inventory and reconciliation of GFE repair parts/tools
  • Supporting management of obsolete hardware, proposal requests, and provisioning determinations
