About The Position

Step2, a leader in innovative play and outdoor products, is launching a new Commercial Sales Division and is seeking a high-energy Field Sales Representative, Commercial to grow revenue across key market segments. This role is responsible for developing new business, managing a defined territory, and expanding customer relationships across channels including pool builders, pool distribution, hospitality, multifamily, student housing, country clubs, water parks, and commercial recreation. The incumbent is a consultative, self-motivated outside sales professional who thrives on prospecting, closing new opportunities, and building long-term customer partnerships. Location: Remote (Regional Travel Required)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field or equivalent experience required.
  • 5–7+ years of outside/field sales experience in B2B environments.
  • Strong track record of prospecting, pipeline development, and consistently achieving sales targets.
  • Experience selling into one or more of the following markets strongly preferred:
  • Pool builders / Pool distribution
  • Hospitality
  • Multifamily / Student Housing
  • Commercial recreation / water parks
  • Country clubs / private clubs
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable with travel and in-person customer engagement.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and disciplined sales process management.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and time management.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a defined territory by identifying, prospecting, and closing new commercial customers.
  • Build a consistent pipeline through cold outreach, networking, referrals, trade events, and in-person visits.
  • Develop and execute a territory plan aligned to revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Expand existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and identifying new project opportunities.
  • Conduct on-site visits, presentations, and product demonstrations to educate customers and drive purchase decisions.
  • Create and deliver customer proposals, quotes, and solution recommendations.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity, account notes, and forecasting within the CRM.
  • Provide weekly and monthly updates on sales progress, pipeline health, and key opportunities.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support forecast planning and business visibility.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, and Product teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Communicate customer feedback and market needs to help inform product and go-to-market improvements.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs within assigned verticals.
  • Share market insights to support strategy, product development, and sales positioning.
  • All other projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned
