The primary responsibilities of this role are to achieve assigned targets with Bayer products in coordination with squad-mates (other Bayer commercial employees in the same geography). The successful delivery of the squad goals is essential through support of others' role responsibilities. Following the guidance of your mentor & training, you will understand and assist in the developing and implementation of dealer business plans, manage forecasting, inventory management and product line demand issues, set the business direction, and coordinate follow-ups with dealers. You will serve as the key business consultant to retailers and dealers and effectively sell the value of Bayer Crop Science products. Additionally, you will learn, understand, and demonstrate proof of product performance against the competition by being the champion of Bayer brands and product/technical/agronomic knowledge. Collaboration with squad-mates including Field Sales Reps (FSR), Customer Business Advisors (CBA), Technical Agronomists (TA), and Digital Enablement Leads (DEL) is crucial to maximize services, information, and sales to preferred growers and key customer accounts. You will actively manage inventory concerns as appropriate to ensure success of meeting business objectives and understand and analyze local market and competitive information. Following set strategies for achieving long and short business plans for key accounts and assigned area is expected, along with effectively managing expenses, discretionary dollars, and program payments to enable top and bottom line growth. You will show initiative in developing selling skills and product/portfolio knowledge, actively partner with squad-mates to ensure achievement of program execution and program fulfillment, and successfully manage the relationship with top growers and retailers. Acting as a knowledgeable business consultant for top growers and retailers while planning for customer business needs is essential. You will manage area claims per Bayer Crop Science policy and process through effective problem solving, execution, administration, and resource management. The role requires approximately 60% travel with significant (daily) face-to-face customer interaction to grow market share of Crop Protection/Seed and Trait business and create demand for seed growth, seed and trait, and chemistry within the territory.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ year experience in sales, marketing, account management or agriculture, or other education level and 5+ years of listed experience required.
  • Demonstrated Agriculture product, portfolio and agronomic knowledge preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (interpersonal, oral and written).
  • Ability to receive and act upon feedback.
