About The Position

The Field Sales Professional at BSN Sports, a Varsity Brands company, is responsible for managing the full cycle sales process within an assigned territory, providing exceptional customer service to coaches and administrators. This role emphasizes building local client relationships, maximizing sales opportunities, and representing the company's core values in all business activities. The position operates in a hybrid environment, requiring both home office and field-based work, with a focus on local schools and organizations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' business-to-business (B2B) outside sales experience (preferably in sporting goods) or coaching/sports-related background.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Must have and maintain a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Demonstrate a high level of self-direction and autonomy in managing tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Intermediate skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the sporting goods industry.
  • Background in coaching or sports-related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Provide best-in-class, consultative customer service to coaches across an assigned territory.
  • Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
  • Actively develop and qualify leads within the respective territory to drive additional sales opportunities through cold-calling and lead generation campaigns.
  • Handle rejection and turn challenges into opportunities with resilience.
  • Navigate multiple functions within the company's CRM for prospecting, account management, and activity tracking.
  • Increase sales in existing accounts by selling to all sports at all levels.
  • Utilize data-driven business intelligence on prospects to identify new trends and opportunities.
  • Manage account list and travel within the assigned territory.
