About The Position

BSN SPORTS, a Varsity Brands company, is the recognized leader in team athletic gear, with over 50 years of experience as the largest team sporting goods equipment and apparel distributor in the United States. The company aims to support coaches and administrators by saving them time with excellent service platforms, allowing them to focus on impacting young lives. The position is a full-time hybrid role based in Oahu, Hawaii, requiring at least 2-5 days per week in the territory to manage local client relationships and maximize sales opportunities. The job operates in a hybrid environment, combining home office, school, community, and event settings. The Field Sales Pro will be responsible for optimizing the full cycle sales in their assigned territory and servicing customers while representing Varsity Brands with high ethical standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' business-to-business (B2B) outside sales experience, preferably in sporting goods or a coaching/sports-related background.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Must have and maintain a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Demonstrate a high level of self-direction and autonomy in managing tasks.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM.
  • Ability to cultivate a distraction-free home office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide best-in-class, consultative customer service to coaches across an assigned territory.
  • Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
  • Develop and qualify leads within the territory through cold-calling and lead generation campaigns.
  • Handle rejection and turn challenges into opportunities.
  • Navigate multiple functions within the company’s CRM for prospecting, account management, and activity tracking.
  • Increase sales in existing accounts by selling to all sports at all levels.
  • Utilize data-driven business intelligence to identify new trends and opportunities.
  • Manage account list and travel within the assigned territory.
