About The Position

BSN SPORTS, a Varsity Brands company, is the recognized leader in team athletic gear, having served as the largest team sporting goods equipment and apparel distributor in the United States for over 50 years. The company aims to support coaches and administrators by saving them time with excellent service platforms, allowing them to focus on impacting young lives on the field. The Field Sales Professional role is a full-time hybrid position that requires living and traveling 2-5 days per week within the assigned territory, primarily Atlantic County, NJ. The job operates in a hybrid environment, combining home office work with field-based activities at schools and events. The standard pay range for this role is between $55,000-$65,000, with additional performance-based incentives available.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' business-to-business (B2B) outside sales experience, preferably in sporting goods or a coaching/sports-related background.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Must have and maintain a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Demonstrate a high level of self-direction and autonomy in managing tasks and responsibilities.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Intermediate skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM.

Responsibilities

  • Provide best-in-class, consultative customer service to coaches across an assigned territory.
  • Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
  • Develop and qualify leads within the territory through cold-calling and lead generation campaigns.
  • Handle rejection and turn challenges into opportunities.
  • Navigate multiple functions within the company’s CRM for prospecting, account management, and activity tracking.
  • Increase sales in existing accounts by selling to all sports at all levels.
  • Utilize data-driven business intelligence to identify new trends and opportunities.
  • Manage account list and travel within the assigned territory.
