Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: As a Customer Planning Manager on the Family Dollar/Dollar Tree team, you will play a pivotal role in driving customer team operations and deploying the customer growth strategy by effectively managing customer relationships, forecast and checkbook. You'll support the Sales Team by managing the promotional planning process, delivering insights through data analysis, and ensuring smooth execution of Clorox and customer-facing initiatives. This is a high-impact role requiring strong analytical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to understand Clorox systems and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of CPG experience
  • Data & analytics experience at senior analyst level or above with proven success
  • Customer / retailer knowledge and understanding of processes, timelines, business plans and the creation of customer goals
  • Be able to partner closely with cross functional roles such as Sales & Supply Planning, Supply Chain, and Analysts, removing barriers and obstacles as needed
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with forecasting and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, Exceedra, IRIS), along with having advanced Excel skills and comfort with large datasets
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to lead peers, influence internally, and communicate with drivers and complex variables in a succinct manner to senior teammates
  • Thrives in fast paced environment and successfully manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess growth opportunities and results, manage customer checkbook and all Exceedra plans, and create and submit customer contracts
  • Maintain in-line spend estimates, reconcile post-audit funds, and analyze budgets to flag and understand over- or under-spends
  • Drive accurate sales forecasting, incorporating driver inputs such as growth expectations, promotional calendars, and risk/opportunity assessments within AAA framework
  • Track performance vs. forecast, conduct root cause analyses, identify gaps (e.g., promo misses), and monitor and report on shipping, consumption trends, and inventory levels
  • Build capability to drive growth and eliminate waste by deploying tools, processes and resources to support organization
  • Own standard reporting and ad hoc analytics using tools like Exceedra, IRIS, PowerBI, CoPilot, TPO, and High Radius
  • Use syndicated and customer-specific omni data to identify white space and growth opportunities (e.g., distribution voids, new items)
  • Collaborate with analysts to assess ROI and performance metrics
  • Coordinate logistics for customer sales meetings (venue, accommodations, food, A/V, etc.)
  • Build strategic relationships with customer buying team including negotiating key segments and heavy contribution to full-team customer engagements
  • Serve as the go-to expert for enterprise tools and systems and support administrative and operational tasks to keep the team running efficiently
