JOIN THE TEAM COMMITTED TO DRIVING YOUR CAREER FORWARD Job Type: Full time Exempt/Non Exempt: Hourly Job Description: Position Description (Post for all College Intern Positions) Learn about the Auto Club Group and assigned business line products and services by receiving training through corporate education and/or on-the-job training. Assignments are based on business line needs, but should encompass professional level work that may include: gathering information, providing analysis and drawing conclusions and/or developing recommendations, conducting department business/system audits, developing reports, performing mathematical calculations for various transactions, selling and servicing of various ACG/affiliated products, etc. Program Components: Must be available during the entire internship period as determined by department Project-focused, with specific group assignments and time to work together as a team Individual assignments to assist Intern in gaining understanding of the day-to-day aspects of working in the department Other program components as determined by department Post for Travel Intern : Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): Completing, demonstrating and validating each component of the travel training curriculum and on-the job training assignments and skills as outlined at the beginning of the internship program. Gaining the necessary knowledge and skills to actively solicit and sell Auto Club Group travel products and services. Learning to provide professional guidance and counsel to customers regarding their travel requirements including offering ancillary products (hotel, car, insurance, etc.) to enhance the primary travel purchase. Completing sales by making necessary travel arrangements including making reservations, collecting money and processing of documents per travel standards. Program Components: Training in Dearborn, MI for one week and in Aurora, IL for two weeks (tentative locations). The remaining weeks will be spent in Michigan Branch training locations (Flint, Macomb County, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Brighton and Grand Rapids). Transition to a AAA Travel Agent position Post for Fellowship in Business (Sharp Fellowship with Barney Barnett School of Business & Free Enterprise): Program Components: Fellowship is for Spring or Fall semester Program will provide understanding of the importance of retaining customers in order to grow business, and experiencing Hotel, Attractions, Car Rental, Cruise and Tour operations at several ACG business partners, including but not limited to Walt Disney World, SeaWorld, Universal Orlando, Best Western, Hilton Hotels, AAA Vacation, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Celebrity Cruises and Hertz. Job training will provide the opportunity to become accredited/certified with several of these partners as well as provide on-the-job training. Post for Strategic Sourcing & Real Estate Services: Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Learn necessary knowledge and skills of strategic sourcing and real estate planning Assist Procurement Buyers and Strategic Sourcing Specialist with departmental administrative responsibilities Create reports and presentations to communicate findings Provides technical and/or operational support to Real Estate projects and programs.
